Credit Recovery

Mercury Online Education’s Credit Recovery Program

Mercury Online Education’s Credit Recovery program is designed with maximum flexibility to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Here are a few of the benefits:

  • Rolling enrollment to accommodate any start date
  • A broad range of online courses in the core subject areas ensures students have the opportunity to meet graduation requirements
  • 24/7 course access means students may complete their coursework anywhere and anytime they have Internet access (and based on school policies)
  • Self-paced courses led by Mercury online instructors will engage all students (especially graduating seniors) to support them in their studies and keep them on pace to successfully complete their courses on time.
  • A prescriptive learning path design of each course allows students to focus efforts on mastery of topics in which they are more deficient (If school policy permits this option, students can recover their credits in less time)

Implementation Models:

  • Before/After School Model: Provide an opportunity, in addition to their state funded school schedule, for students who need to recover credit.
    • Students participate in their courses on their own time outside of the school day.
    • Provide a lab setting or require students to have Internet access from a remote location.
  • School Day Model: Schedule a credit recovery course as a part of the student’s state funded school day
    • Students can go to a lab setting during this time to work on their credit recovery course
    • Students in need of more than one course can start the next course during the same scheduled period after completing the first one

Note: Regardless of the implementation model, students can access courses 24/7
